Keeping Healthcare Workers Safe

The right disposable protective clothing for medical use safeguards healthcare workers, and their patients, from high-consequence infectious diseases (HCIDs) along with blood and bodily fluids. Many disposable coveralls sold today are just a chemical suit marketed to healthcare facilities. They’re uncomfortably hot, and not designed to meet the latest safety requirements or donning and doffing protocols. We work directly with medical personnel and healthcare workers to design our disposable medical protective clothing, lab coats, and accessories with wearer-driven features.

Medical protective clothing and Accessories Designed by and for Healthcare Professionals

We work hand in hand with medical professionals at leading medical centers to design disposable protective clothing that offers the features necessary for life-saving protection and ease in the donning and doffing procedure. ViroGuard® 2 was designed as a protective coverall for treating patients with Ebola. This medical protective clothing is now used in many of the leading HCID / Ebola treatment centers throughout the United States. Additionally, we offer disposable scrubs that are made with an ultra-soft and “no see-through” fabric. Each protective garment is rigorously tested in real-world healthcare environments for better fit, performance, and protection against some of the most dangerous biohazards including infectious diseases and bloodborne pathogens.

EBOLA Protecting Clothing

EBOLA Protecting Clothing

According to the CDC, PPE that covers the clothing and skin (such as coveralls or protective suits), must completely protect mucous membranes when treating patients with confirmed Ebola. The CDC also recommends respiratory protection against potentially infectious aerosols that can be generated from procedures such as a bronchoscopy or endotracheal intubation2. Recommended respiratory protection includes the use of a NIOSH-certified fit-tested N-95 or higher respirator, or a PAPR. In addition to respirators, more standard PPE such as surgical scrubs or disposable garments are recommended to help prevent the contamination of personal clothing.

PPE for Fentanyl Response

Fentanyl is a powerful opioid, which makes it highly addictive and dangerous to all who come into contact with this substance. This powerful, synthetic drug is similar to morphine and heroin but it’s much more powerful. In fact, it is 80 to 100 times more potent than morphine. According to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIH), only 2-3 milligrams of Fentanyl can cause death—that’s comparable to 5-7 grains of salt!

Crime Scene Remediation

Crime Scene Remediation

Scenarios such as a violent crime, suicide, a trauma scene, or an unattended death all require a lot of time and attention. People talk about the crime for days—weeks in some cases—and police officers investigate for months. Because of the furor that surrounds the crime and its investigation, the scene of the crime tends to be forgotten. However, these crimes take place in houses, stores, offices, etc. and some people must clean up blood spills, residual blood, bodily fluids, and human remains.
