    For all workers, especially during the hot season, heat stress is a real threat. The heat combined with work exertion drains fluids quickly from the body, leading to dehydration. Unless rehydrated, the body will no longer be able to cool itself enough to remain below the healthy threshold of 100.4°F/38°C (according to an OSHA Heat Stress Guide). When this happens, heat stress sets in and if left untreated, it may escalate to heat stroke, a fatal and life-threatening condition.

    International Enviroguard Announces Lighter Weight SMS Product Line

    As we reviewed our SMS product line, we realized that our SMS garments were up to 40% heavier weight than competing garments.  As we spoke with end-users, we quickly realized that end-users value total cost of use and comfort when choosing an SMS garment.  As a result, we’ve elected to develop a lighter weight SMS garment designed for more competitive situations and less hazerdous environments. We will keep the same standard features of our existing SMS product line.  These features include:

    • Wider, gusseted crotch gives wearer more room to move in all directions without ripping fabric
    • Elastic back stretches with user for more comfort and better tear resistance
    • Storm flap for extra layer of protection around zipper
